MONROE - The City of Monroe has hired the parking consultant firm Rich and Associates to conduct a downtown parking study. The study will entail a comprehensive analysis of the downtown parking system and make recommendations toward a more efficient and effective system.
During the week of July 13, consultants from the firm will be in town conducting inventories and surveys. A public meeting is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. July 14 in the City Hall Council Room. The consultants will explain the process and what the city can expect from the study. They will also answer any questions.
Additionally, within the next two weeks information and links will be provided to online surveys for business owners, downtown employees, and customers and visitors to complete.
