MONROE - On Dec. 22, Monroe Clinic finalized the purchase of the Highland Women's Care clinic building and surrounding property at 3103 W. Kunkle Blvd. in Freeport.
While Highland Women's Care has been a part of Monroe Clinic since 2008, the purchase of the building and two and a half acres of land offers a greater opportunity to serve the community, CEO of Monroe Clinic Mike Sanders said in a news release.
"The number of Freeport area families that we serve has steadily increased," Sanders said. "By investing in this real estate we are able to pursue growth opportunities that will allow us to better serve the Freeport community's needs."
While no specific plans have been confirmed, Sanders said they are reviewing a wide range of possible services.
Customers now using Highland Women's Care and Freeport Clinic services will continue to receive the same care during assessment and planning phases of the service expansion.
