MONROE - In a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Common Council:- Recognized outgoing aldermen Paul Hannes, Dan Henke, Kent Kallembach, and Charles Schuringa.- Reconvened following the oaths of office by newly elected officials: Brooke Bauman, Jan Lefevre, Sara Conway, Reid Stangel, Chris Beer and Tyler Schultz.- Reorganized with election of Charles Koch as council president and with elections and confirmation of appointments to various committees, boards and commissions. - Heard from State Assembly Representative Janis Ringhand, via a letter to the city, dated April 14.- Heard from Donna Glenn, Monroe, concerning the problems with rain and water run-off in her neighborhood. She asked the council to approve the installation of curbs and gutters proposed in the Lakeside Heights area.- Approved $515,000 to pay bills.- Granted miscellaneous licenses.- Approved a one-year agreement with Green County Humane Society, on a 8-2 vote.
