MONROE — On April 1, the Monroe Common Council:
● Granted a temporary “Class B” wine and fermented malt beverage license to Monroe Youth Hockey Association in conjunction with its Kentucky Derby event on May 4.
● Approved a special event permit application from Main Street Monroe for an April outdoor farmer’s market event from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 in the 1600 block of 10th St.; from the Green County Conservation League to hold two Youth Conservation Day events from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 3 and Oct. 4 at Honey Creek Park; from MSM for its annual Outdoor Farmer’s Market season from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of 16th Avenue and every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the 1600 block of 10th St.; and from Kiwanis Club of Monroe to hold Kiwanis Disc Golf and Pickleball Tournament from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 15 in Twining Park.
● Granted a temporary Class “B” fermented malt beverage license to Monroe Chamber of Commerce for a Business After 5 event from 5 to 7 p.m. April 11 at Wisconsin Bank and Trust.
