MONROE - In a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Common Council:
- Approved the mayoral appointment of Tammy Derrickson to the Information Technology Committee to replace Rob Jacobson.
- Unanimously approved $243,900 to pay bills.
- Granted miscellaneous licenses.
- Voted unanimously to award the contract to construct a detention basin on 21st Street to H. James and Sons, Fennimore, in the sum of $459,900.
- Unanimously approved the weights and measures assessment schedule.
- Set a public hearing for Nov. 1 on a petition for the annexation of property at 18th Avenue and Mansion Drive.
- Approved a sewer and water service connection agreement for property located at 18th Avenue and Mansion Drive.
