MONROE -On Monday, March 17, the City of Monroe Board of Public Works:
• Accepted a quote from and authorized hiring Maddrell Excavating for installation of storm sewer in the 1600 block of the Badger State Trail in the amount of $16,500.
• Accepted a quote from Sloan Implement and authorized the purchase of a mower tractor for $15,280 and cab $5,500. The new equipment is replacing a 1996 unit.
• Authorized the Streets and Sanitation Department to seek quotes for a new plow truck.
• Approved bills from Fehr-Graham in the amounts of $2,185, $618 and $6,508 from engineering work on water system improvement, and in the amounts of $5,175, $10,695, $4,830, $2,070 and $5,520 for water tower design work.
