MONROE - The MERIT Center will hold its sixth annual fish fry from 5 to 8 p.m. April 14 at the Monroe downtown fire station, 1803 12th St.
The cost will be $10, and dinner will include all-you-can-eat cod, french fries, coleslaw, rolls, macaroni and cheese, dessert, lemonade, coffee, water or soda. Carryouts will be available for $8.
The proceeds will benefit the MERIT Center classroom building project. The MERIT Center is a six-acre multi-use fire and emergency services training center in the north industrial park. It is available for use by all Green County agencies and regularly conducts fire, police, EMS and private industry safety and response training. It is also home to the Monroe Fire School, which is in its 79th year.
