MONTICELLO - Pechmann Memorials is in the process of engraving memorial bricks that will be placed in the walking area of the new Veterans Memorial, Monticello.
The cost of an 8"-by-8" brick, which is four lines with 12 characters in each line is $75; a 8-by-16 brick, which is four lines with 24 characters in each line, is $125; and a 16-by-16 brick, which is eight lines with 24 characters in each line, is $225. Prices include engraving.
Examples of the bricks are on display at the Bank of Monticello, 400 West Coates Ave. Applications are available at the bank, or by contacting Harold Babler at (608) 938-4088.
Twenty-two brick orders have already been received, as well as additional monetary donations.
A Monticello Area Veterans Memorial Fund has been established at the Bank of Monticello for the submission of tax-deductible donations. Donations can also be sent to Harold Babler, P.O. Box 145, Monticello, WI 53570.
