MONROE - A man with a history of possessing narcotics in Green County faces new charges that he sold heroin on two occasions from his residence at a Monroe rooming house.

Christopher H. Stevens, 34, was charged Aug. 28 with two Class F felony counts of delivering heroin, each punishable by up to 12 and a half years imprisonment. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Stevens sold 0.1 grams of heroin to a confidential informant for $20 on Aug. 7 in the 1100 block of 30th Street, according to the criminal complaint. About a week later, he again allegedly sold heroin from his apartment to an informant - this time 0.3 grams for $75.

Court records indicate Stevens got the heroin from a source in Rockford.

Stevens was sentenced in 2007 in Green County Circuit Court to a year in prison and six months on extended supervision for one felony narcotics possession conviction and in 2009 to 60 days in jail for another.
