MONROE — A rural Brooklyn man was arrested after reportedly shooting a firearm multiple times outside his apartment building, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.
Robert Jay Johnson Jr., 31, faces felony charges of possessing a firearm after an out-of-state felony conviction, possessing methamphetamine and domestic abuse-related false imprisonment. He’s also charged with misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and operating a firearm while intoxicated.
At about 9:45 p.m. Friday, July 19, deputies responded to a report of a man shooting a firearm outside an apartment building in the W100 block of County C, Town of Brooklyn.
Johnson turned himself over to deputies when they arrived on scene, said Chief Deputy Thomas Moczynski. Johnson was jailed pending court.
No injuries from the firearm were reported, Moczynski said.
