BRODHEAD - A 21-year-old man died in a vehicle crash on Ten Eyck Road late Saturday.
At about 9 p.m., a 1992 sport utility vehicle driven by Dustin D. Halvorson, Brodhead, was traveling west on Ten Eyck Road about a half a mile west of Brodhead in the Town of Decatur when it left the road and struck a tree, according to a statement from the Green County Sheriff's Department.
The collision resulted in a small fire, which was put out by emergency personnel when they arrived to the crash. The Green County Coroner pronounced Halvorson dead at the scene.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the sheriff's department. The crash remains under investigation.
The Green County Sheriff's Department, Brodhead police, fire and EMS personnel responded to the crash.
