MONROE — The Monroe Arts Center youth art class is moving online to Fridays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 30 through Dec. 11.
In this art program, students in Kindergarten through fifth grade can continue to build their lifelong discovery, exploration and appreciation of the arts.
During each of the six sessions, art instructor Lisa Beach will provide lessons using the Zoom platform in various aspects of art and art techniques. She will guide students through each project, while instilling creativity and expanding the imaginations of budding artists.
Week one, create spooky Halloween houses; week two, create own version of “Kandi” apples; week three, create tasty cupcake paintings; week four, scarecrow paintings; week five, snowflakes and mittens; and week six, winter landscapes with mixed media collages.
All supplies will be included in the registration fee and will be available for pickup at the Monroe Arts Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Oct. 29, in the lobby on the west side of the building off 13th Ave.
