MONROE — Duxstad, Bestul & McNaughton, S.C., leaders in Southwest Wisconsin’s legal community for over 40 years, and McDaniel Stauffacher Law, LLC, a pillar in Lafayette County with roots dating to 1946, have announced a merger of their firms effective January 1, 2024. The firms will merge under the name Duxstad McDaniel Law Group, S.C. Attorneys from both firms emphasize that the merger is designed to ensure the long-term continuation of a shared commitment to their communities and their unwavering dedication to providing clients with exceptional and personable legal service.
The merger brings together the diverse skill sets and resources of two esteemed law firms. McDaniel Stauffacher, with a reputation for providing excellent representation and advice for their real estate, agriculture, estate planning, probate, and business clients, will now complement their services with the family law, criminal and traffic defense, personal injury, and general civil litigation services for which the Duxstad firm is known. Together, they will operate full-service offices at 1112 17th Avenue, in Monroe, and at 434 Main Street, in Darlington, and are poised to provide clients with comprehensive and tailored legal support.
Attorney Lance McNaughton emphasized the firms’ commitment to serving their communities.
“Our merger with McDaniel Stauffacher represents an opportunity not only to expand our legal capabilities but also to deepen our engagement in the communities we serve,” McNaughton said. “One of the great benefits for us, in practicing in Southwest Wisconsin, is the relationships we get to develop with our clients. One important goal in pursuing this merger was to assure our clients that those relationships will continue for years to come.”
Attorney Aaron Stauffacher, a Darlington native who returned three years ago to join with Bill McDaniel, echoed McNaughton’s sentiment.
”We’re excited to partner with Duxstad, Bestul & McNaughton to continue delivering personalized service and legal excellence, and in a wider range of practice areas,” Stauffacher said.
Duxstad McDaniel Law Group, S.C. will operate with a staff of seven attorneys and a support staff of six. Clients can continue to reach the firm’s two offices using the same phone numbers and email addresses used before the merger. In that regard and in others, clients are assured a seamless transition and can rely on the combined firm’s steadfast commitment to providing personalized service and achieving the best possible outcome for their clients.
