Local accountant to retire, sells firm

MONROE - Richard F. Lindemann, a local certified public accountant (CPA) for 33 years, has announced the sale of his accounting firm to Marc Farmer CPA of Marshall, Minn. Lindemann, who has more than 38 years of experience working in the accounting field, plans to retire in several months once the transition is complete. He will also have a consulting contract with Farmer that will carry on into the future. Farmer, who grew up working at his father's CPA office before going to college, was employed by the Schwan Food Company prior to purchasing the Monroe accounting firm.
