NEW GLARUS - The Green County Aging and Disability Resource Center is hosting a Living Well workshop beginning in October.
Living Well is a weekly workshop for anyone with an ongoing health condition that is limiting their everyday life. It is for people who are ready to make positive changes in their life and want to learn how and who want to remain independent, healthy, happy and strong.
Living Well Workshops help participants to: maintain independence; understand physical abilities and improve them; talk with your doctor; relax; and help others and yourself.
The workshop meets for two hours once a week for six weeks, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. beginning Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Glarner Lodge, 900 Glarner Drive, New Glarus. Two trained leaders will facilitate the workshop.
All participants will receive a copy of a consumer handbook, "Living a Healthy Life with a Chronic Condition," to use during the six weeks of class. The cost to attend is $10 which will be refunded if participants attend four of the six classes. Scholarships are available and class size is limited.
