MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department has a Red Cross lifeguard training class that begins Monday and continues through Aug. 4.
Participants must be 15 years old by Monday. Training will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the outdoor pool.
The cost is $100 for residents and $115 for non-residents. Once completing the class and its requirements, students will receive their Lifeguarding/First Aid certificate valid for three years; CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer valid for two years; and Water Park Certification.
