By Taylor W. Anderson Associated Press MADISON - Nearly a dozen Libertarian candidates for an array of offices huddled around coffee, stacks of pancakes and piles of papers at an IHOP as they counted thousands of signatures just five hours before last week's deadline to get their names on ballots. The candidates converged on Madison from around the state. They support liberal causes such as civil unions and legalizing marijuana, but - like conservatives -also hope to move power from the federal government to "as local a level as possible," said Bob Burke, the party's candidate for governor.
