BRODHEAD - The Brodhead School Board is hosting a legislative forum as an opportunity for board members and the public to get to know their legislative representatives at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 in the Brodhead High School Auditeria.
This event is open to the public, and school board members from Brodhead, Monroe, Juda, Albany, Monticello, New Glarus, and Parkview have been invited.
Sen. Jon Erpenbach, Rep. Janis Ringhand and Rep. Evan Wynn have committed to attending the event. An aide from Gov. Walker's office may also attend.
Each of these representatives will be asked to share their previews of topics to be considered in coming legislative sessions. Each will be asked to respond to a series of prepared questions, and then the microphones will be opened for questions from the audience. The forum is not intended to be a debate, but an opportunity for open discussion on common concerns over the future of education in Wisconsin.
Questions about the forum can be directed to District Administrator Chuck Deery at 897-2141, or Board President Teresa Earleywine at 897-2038.
