On May 10:

● 7:17 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for criminal damage.

● 10:05 a.m. South Wayne Fire responded to W Center ST, Village of South Wayne for a gas line that was struck.

● 6:31 p.m. Daniel Guthrie, 29, Machesney Park was driving his 2023 Toyota where he failed to yield at the intersection of Short Cut RD and STH 23, Willow Springs Township. Daniel was struck by a 2007 Pontiac driven by Ever J Pineda-Velasquez, 31, Darlington. No injuries were reported. Guthrie was cited for Failure to Yield, and Pineda-Velasquez was cited for No Insurance and Operating without License.

On May 11:

● 7:56 p.m. A deputy responded to Gun Club RD, City of Darlington to assist Darlington Police with a traffic complaint. As a result Debra L Rebello, 50, Platteville was arrested for Obstructing or Resisting Officer and Bail Jumping. Rebello was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and later released. Devin J Artica-Lagos, 32, Platteville was arrested for two Bail Jumping charges. Artica-Lagos was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains.

● 9:36 p.m. Devin L Feryance, 36, Benton was operating a UTV on CTH O, White Oak Springs Township where he was cited for OWI and Speeding.

● 10:55 p.m. A deputy responded to W Mound RD, Belmont Township for a suspicious complaint. 

On May 12:

● 12:22 a.m. Michael K.W. Ruf, 28, Darlington was arrested on Washington ST, City of Darlington following a traffic stop for Battery to Law Enforcement, Eluding, Resisting/Obstruction and Disorderly Conduct. Ruf was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains. Ruf’s passenger, Tyler J. Leahy, 28, Cuba City was also arrested for Resisting/Obstruction and Disorderly Conduct. Leahy was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released. Leahy was also cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Darlington Police assisted.

● 11:39 a.m. Sherry R McAuliffe, 67, Apple River reported striking a deer on STH 11, Wayne Township. McAuliffe’s Subaru received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 9:45 p.m. Jhorshy B. Azurdia-Santos, 19, Shullsburg was arrested for Operating without a Valid License (2nd w/in 3 years) and Bail Jumping on W Truth ST, City of Shullsburg. Azurdia-Santos was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains.

● 10:54 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH O, Shullsburg Township for a traffic hazard. As a result, Jamie L. Noyola, 35, Shullsburg was cited for Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicle and Failure to Install Child Safety Restraint.

On May 13:

● 1:58 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH O, Seymour Township for disorderly conduct.

On May 14:

● 4:14 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, Benton Township for a hit and run.

● 6:26 p.m. A deputy responded to Main ST in the Village of Gratiot for harassment.

● 7:32 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11 in the City of Shullsburg for a minor accident. Robert R Klima, 59, Manchester, IA was traveling westbound on STH 11 in a 2020 Ram pulling a boat when the boat came detached. The boat traveled across the eastbound lane, entered the ditch and struck a sign before coming to rest. No injuries and minor damage were reported. The boat was reattached, and all vehicles were driven from the scene.

On May 15:

● 7:22 a.m. Claire R. Klossner, 23, Monticello was travelling on Old Q RD, Argyle Township when she failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and came to a rest in the ditch. Klossner received minor injuries. Klossner’s 2023 Buick received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Argyle EMS and a deputy assisted.

● 8:55 a.m. A deputy responded to Main ST, Village of Gratiot for suspicious activity. 

● 9:50 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Seymour Township for a traffic complaint. As a result, Jose D. Perez-Dominguez, 29, Darlington was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated (1st Offense). Perez-Dominguez was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was released to a responsible party. Perez-Dominguez was also cited for Operating Left of Center and Operating without a Valid License. Lafayette County EMS assisted.

On May 16:

● 9:35 a.m. A deputy responded to Spring Brook RD, Wiota Township for a theft. 

● 4:17 p.m. A deputy responded to W Mound View AV, Village of Belmont for a restraining order violation

● 7:15 p.m. Darlington Fire responded to STH 81, Darlington City of Darlington for an electrical fire. Darlington Police assisted. 

● 9:26 p.m. Todd E. Wolff, 41, Walkerton IN reported striking a deer on STH 81, Seymour Township. Wolff and his passenger reported no injuries. Wolff’s 2022 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

On May 17:

● 12:06 a.m. Kristofer A Szempruch, 44, Shullsburg was arrested for Operating with a Controlled Substance (1st Offense) on CTH O, Shullsburg Township. Szempruch was transported to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office where he was released to a responsible party. Szempruch was also cited for Operating without a Valid Driver’s License, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Non Registration of Auto.
