On April 3:

● 12:38 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for a one vehicle accident.

● 12:52 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Seymour Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 3:52 p.m. A deputy responded to Mitchell Hollow RD, Belmont Township for a one vehicle accident. Kimberly J. Sanders, 31, Fennimore was traveling on Mitchell Hollow RD when she lost control of her vehicle, left the road way and struck a mailbox. Sanders reported no injuries. Sanders vehicle was towed from the scene.

● 5:21 p.m. A deputy responded to Mineral RD, Shullsburg Township for a one vehicle accident. 

● 5:50 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

On April 4:

● 5:20 a.m. A deputy responded to ST Rose RD, Benton Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 6:38 a.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a theft. 

On April 5:

● 1:49 p.m. A deputy responded to Silver Spring RD, Gratiot Township for bail jumping.

● 8:16 p.m. David J Biegon, 72, Galena, IL reported striking a deer on STH 11, Gratiot Township. No injuries were reported and Bigeon’s 2018 Toyota received minor damage and was driven from the scene

On April 7:

● 4:16 a.m. Deputies came upon a traffic accident on STH 11 in the Village of Gratiot.  When contact was made, the occupant of the vehicle fled on foot.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  The incident remains under investigation.

● 4:27 p.m. Travis Stauffacher, 56, South Wayne, reported striking a deer on Mink Farm Rd, Wayne Township.  Stauffacher’s 2017 Ram received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On April 9:

● 1:18 p.m. A deputy assisted Benton Police with a hit and run on W Main ST in the Village.

On April 10:

● 6:14 p.m. A deputy responded to Old Q RD, Blanchard Township for a minor two vehicle accident. Perry J Zaidel, 62, Freedom was traveling on Old Q RD in a 2020 Ford when he pulled to the side of the road to let Cohlman J Schlimgen, 16, Barneveld pass in a 2011 Nissan. Schlimgen then struck the rear of Zaidel’s vehicle. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene with minor damage. Schlimgen was cited for Inattentive Driving.

● 7:36 p.m. A deputy responded to W Estey ST in the City of Shullsburg for a restraining order violation.

● 10:15 p.m. A deputy responded to Burr Oak RD, Kendall Township for threats.
