On January 28:

● 3:27 p.m.  A deputy, Gratiot Fire, Gratiot First Response and Green County EMS responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for a two vehicle accident. Jacklyn R. Wood, 42, Shullsburg was traveling on STH 11 when a truck, operated by Juan C. Birrueta-Ornelas, 33, Dekalb IL pulled out in front of her causing her to strike the truck. No injuries were reported. Wood’s 2014 Dodge received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The 2025 Chevrolet received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Birrueta-Ornelas was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way and Operating Without a Valid License (1st Offense). Darlington Police assisted. 

On January 29:

● 6:22 a.m. Raymond C. McKinley, 57, Warren reported striking a deer on STH 11, Wayne Township. McKinley reported no injuries. McKinley’s 2012 Chevrolet received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
