CAMP DOUGLAS - Lafayette County will be featured in the 2015 Hidden Valleys guide, a resource guide for vacationers making travel plans.
Supported by membership of the nine counties featured in the magazine-style publication, the guide is a tourism resource showcasing accommodations, attractions, cultural venues, dining options, festivals, events, outdoor recreation, motorcycle travel and more in Southwest Wisconsin. This year's cover and centerfold features Lafayette County.
"Adventuring into Hidden Valleys Tour" has activities that can be found in Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Juneau, Lafayette, Monroe, Richland and Vernon counties. There are seven themed driving tours in the 2015 guide, complete with maps, photo highlights and driving directions. The tours are: Wineries and Vineyards; Great River Road; Heart of Hidden Valleys; Lakes, Trails and Streams; Cheese; and Bikes and Berries.
Other features of the guide include a four-page pull-out road map of the Hidden Valleys region, as well as individual updated county activity maps that give the location of trout streams, bike trails, and ATV/snowmobiling trails.
The Hidden Valleys guide can be found at various area locations, including Chamber of Commerce offices, hotels and motels and other local businesses that support the magazine as advertisers. The guide is also available at Wisconsin Convention and Visitor Bureaus.
In addition to publishing the yearly guide, Hidden Valleys Inc. board members and volunteers distribute the guides at numerous travel and sport shows.
