MONROE — The School District of Monroe this week approved a meaningful partnership with Kundert Construction, which has committed $60,000 to sponsor two key learning and activity spaces at the new Monroe High School. Through these 10-year naming rights agreements, the Skilled Building Trades Classroom and the Wrestling/Multi-Purpose Room will proudly bear the name of Kundert Construction, honoring the company’s investment in education and student development.
The Kundert Construction Skilled Building Trades Classroom will serve as a hub for hands-on learning in construction, engineering, and design, preparing students for in-demand careers in the skilled trades. Meanwhile, the Kundert Construction Wrestling/Multi-Purpose Room will offer a modern, flexible space for athletic training, physical education, and school-wide activities.
“We are truly grateful to Kundert Construction for this generous sponsorship,” said Joe Monroe, Interim Superintendent of the School District of Monroe. “Their commitment to supporting our students, both in the classroom and on the mat, reflects a strong belief in the power of education and community. The support from local partners like Kundert Construction plays a vital role in bringing this new school to life and ensuring it meets the needs of our students now and in the future. We truly appreciate the support from Chad, Cory, and the entire Kundert Construction team.”
Chad Kundert, Owner of Kundert Construction, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to give back.
“We’re proud to be part of this exciting new chapter for Monroe High School,” he said. “Supporting the Skilled Building Trades and Wrestling spaces is especially meaningful to us because it reflects who we are and what we value — hard work, hands-on learning, and a strong, connected community. This project is an investment in the kids and families of Monroe, and we’re honored to be involved.”
Joe Monroe, Interim Superintendent for the School District of Monroe, said the administration sincerely thanks Kundert Construction for their leadership, generosity, and commitment to student success.
