K-9 alerts to meth in Darlington traffic stop

DARLINGTON — With the help of the Darlington police K-9, two people were arrested and another cited for drug-related offenses during a traffic stop Friday, Sept. 27.

An officer stopped the vehicle for equipment violations at about 10:45 p.m. on Wisconsin 23 and called in the K-9, Kilo, for assistance, according to Darlington Chief of Police Jason King.

The dog alerted to the presence of illegal substances within the vehicle and a search turned up meth and drug paraphernalia, King reported.

Ronald C. Patterson, 56, Spring Green, was arrested on charges of possessing meth (3-10 grams) with intent to deliver, meth paraphernalia and drug paraphernalia, as well as felony and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Jeremy W. Herbst, 48, South Wayne, was arrested on a charge of possessing meth paraphernalia, THC and drug paraphernalia.

A third occupant, Justin R. Myers, 42, South Wayne, was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia.
