JUDA - At a meeting March 14, the Juda School Board:
♦ Watched a performance by several students in honor of March being Music is School Month. Students participating where Maylee Brauer, Grace Gold, Katie Brooks, Luke Skoumal, Zoe Rathshack, Marilyn Farias and Trent Anderson.
♦ Accepted the resignation of Curtis Brown as varsity basketball coach.
♦ Heard a presentation by Mrs. Elmer on the classes she is teaching in Juda for Blackhawk Technical College. Students can earn credits that will be applied toward their degree at Blackhawk Tech if they enroll there after high school graduation.
♦ Were reminded of the joint board meeting March 21 with other schools from JAM.
♦ Received an overview of dual enrollment.
♦ Heard that interviews will be held March 23 for the band instructor position and that the 4K position will be posted.
♦ Approved an out-of-state trip for an FFA member to attend the National Soil Judging Contest with Monticello.
♦ Approved first readings of policy 343.4, Technical College Credit, and 422.1, Part Time Open Enrollment. The board tabled the Early College Credit Policy and approved revisions to policy 341.4, Work Experience Program.
♦ Took no action coming out of executive session.
