Jimmys to return for Concerts on the Square

MONROE - As the sixth installment in the Concert on the Square series, The Jimmys will return for a special concert from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, on the west side of the Square, Monroe.

Those attending should bring their own lawn chairs.

The popular local group will entertain large crowds with the brand of rhythm and blues.

Box lunches will be available at Café Claudeen's, Pancho and Leftys, and Boomerang Bakery.

All are located on or near the Square.

Special Olympics volunteers will be selling popcorn as a fundraiser. Bartels Pub and Ruf's Confectionery donate the popcorn to the group.

Adult beverages will be available at a beer stand sponsored by the Green County Humane Society, and Main Street will sell water and snowcones.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move to The Roller Den, 1506 31st Ave., Monroe.

A sign announcing the move will be posted on the square and announced on WEKZ. Bring your own chairs.
