MONROE — The School District of Monroe this week announced a 10-year sponsorship agreement with Iron Haus, a locally owned and operated fitness center, to secure the naming rights for the Fitness and Weight Room in the new Monroe High School. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to health, wellness, and the long-term success of Monroe students.

The newly named Iron Haus Fitness and Weight Room will provide Monroe High School students and student-athletes with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities designed to promote physical fitness, strength training, and lifelong healthy habits.

“We are thrilled to partner with Iron Haus,” said Joe Monroe, Interim Superintendent of the School District of Monroe. “This sponsorship is about more than naming rights. It’s about investing in the health and well-being of our students. Iron Haus is a proud community partner, and their support will help ensure that our new facility is a place where students can grow, challenge themselves, and build confidence for years to come.”

For Joe VanMatre, Owner of Iron Haus, the partnership is deeply personal. “Monroe is my home, and Iron Haus has always been about strengthening both body and community,” VanMatre said. “Being part of the new high school and supporting the next generation of Cheesemakers is an incredible honor. We’re excited to see students use the Iron Haus Fitness and Weight Room to push themselves, learn discipline, and achieve their goals.”

The School District of Monroe’s new high school is slated to open in September of 2026, and the Iron Haus Fitness and Weight Room will be a cornerstone of its athletic and wellness programming.

“This collaboration shows the power of schools and local businesses working together,” Monroe added. “It’s partnerships like this that make Monroe such a special place to live and learn.”
