Intoxicated man Med Flighted after motorcycle crash near NG

EXETER — Injuries were reported as the result of a one-person motorcycle crash on County D in Exeter just before 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Mark H. Nyhus, 52, Verona, was attempting to pass another vehicle in the N8200 Block of County D when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed on the asphalt. Nyhus was wearing a helmet. He sustained injuries and had to be flown via Med Flight to UW Hospital in Madison. 

The motorcycle was disabled and had to be towed from the scene.

Nyhus was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle. He was released pending a Green County Court appearance at 9 a.m. Sept. 17.
