MONROE — A woman faces a second-offense drunken driving charge after her vehicle crashed into a tree in rural New Glarus late Wednesday, June 5, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.
Jessica A. Page, 31, New Glarus, was injured in the accident and flown by Med-Flight helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
Page was westbound in the W5900 block of Legler Valley Road at about 8:20 p.m. when she lost control on a curve, deputies reported. Her vehicle went off the road to the north and hit a tree.
She was not wearing her seatbelt and had to be extricated from the vehicle. The airbags deployed, and the vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed by Jelle’s Towing. The New Glarus Police, Fire and EMS Departments assisted deputies on scene.
Page is being charged with second offense of operating while under the influence of alcohol.
