MONROE - Green County Humane Society will hold its Holiday Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at its facility, N3156 Wisconsin 81.
Guests are welcome to select items from the society's wish list to place under the tree. Suggestions for dog items include peanut butter, soft dog treats, puppy milk replacer, six-foot leashes, easy-walk harnesses and medium-size collars.
Those wanting to donate cat items may choose from Science Diet "Sensitive Stomach" cat food, pate-style canned cat food, Pro-Plan Focus kitten food and bird seed for the feeders, as the cats love watching the birds outside.
Cleaning supplies needed are laundry soap, Clorox bleach, Dawn dish soap, paper towels and hand soap.
Other suggestions are stamps, copy paper or gift cards to Mounds, Beast Buffet, Walmart, Farm and Fleet or Dollar General.
Bring the family to learn about the humane society and enjoy a day of holiday cheer with GCHS and a couple of very special guests. Light refreshments, shelter tours and pictures with Santa Paws will be available.
