MONROE - The annual Green County Association for Home and Community Education "Green County Homemakers' Fav rites" cookbook is now available.
This year's special feature category is "Old Fashioned" recipes. The "Green County Homemakers' Favorites," also known as the Holiday Letter, includes more than 200 recipes from HCE club members. Members of the Green County organization each submit their favorite recipes, and this time they are all older time-tested recipes to be included in the publication.
Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook fund yearly grants and scholarships given by HCE for students pursuing a college degree or furthering their education.
"This project is just one of the many ways in which HCE supports education in our community," said Donna Ladwig, chairman of the annual cookbook.
The cookbook is available for $3 at the Green County UW-Extension office, located in the Justice Center, 2841 6th St.
