MONROE — A former Monroe man charged with secretly taking photos of girls and women in Walmart changing rooms and elsewhere waived his right to a preliminary hearing May 24.

Marcus Tyler Hendrickson, 27, is out on a $25,000 signature bond and living now in Lodi, according to Green County Circuit Court records. He appeared in court with his Madison-based attorney Amber Day Lucsay.

Hendrickson is next in court for a pre-trial conference July 16.

He was initially charged in May 2018 with using a surveillance device to invade privacy, a misdemeanor, and capturing an intimate representation, a felony. The case is based on an investigation into allegations that he installed a spy camera in his Monroe apartment bathroom to covertly record women using the toilet.

In March, following further investigation by a detective with the Monroe Police Department, Hendrickson was charged in a separate case with 20 more felonies, including child porn possession and capturing an intimate representation.

Court documents filed in late March indicate Hendrickson had for years been secretly taking and compiling pictures of girls and women without their knowledge or consent, including “intimate parts of unknowing females” in Walmart changing rooms during his nearly six years of employment at the Monroe store. He was terminated from Walmart in August 2017.

A motion has been filed to combine the two cases. State court records show no prior criminal history for Hendrickson.
