MADISON - Sherri Hendrickson, a teacher at Monroe High School, attended the National Institute of Financial and Economic Literacy training July 29 through 31 at Edgewood College.
The training focused on equipping educators with tools they need to teach students about consumerism, budgeting in the real world, credit education, money and inflation.
Hendrickson was sponsored by WEA Trust.
Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and its Office of Financial Literacy coordinate the annual NIFEL training with Edgewood College. The NIFEL training is now in its 13th year and has provided personal financial education training for nearly 800 educators.
