FFA State President

My name is Logan Wells and I have the honor of serving as the Wisconsin FFA State President this year. It is with great excitement that I write this article for this is National FFA Week. This week is meant to highlight not only the FFA and all of our members, but all of agricultural education and the agricultural industry.

FFA is a student leadership organization centered on agriculture, and there are local FFA chapters in 252 schools across the state of Wisconsin. Those chapters are divided up into 10 sections across the state and together they make up the Wisconsin Association of FFA. Every state in the United States has an FFA Association and across the country there are 7,570 chapters. To be in FFA you must be in at least seventh grade and enrolled in an agriculture class at your chapter's school.

Throughout this week there will be a series of articles just like this one that will showcase what FFA is, how it started, and some other incredible facts about this youth organization. I hope you enjoy the articles and if you have any questions please visit our website at wisconsinffa.org and feel free to email me at lwells@wisconsinffa.org.
