Gundlach receives 2nd national award

MONROE - Andy Gundlach, owner of the Monroe Anytime Fitness, 301 6th Ave. West, was awarded the national "Club Operator of the Year" for the second year in a row.

The award is the highest honor awarded annually at the Anytime Fitness conference. The competition includes the almost 1,000 owners of 1,976 Anytime Fitness clubs.

Gundlach earned the award based on the success of his clubs, in the areas of member retention, professional and friendly staff, cleanliness, equipment expansion and upgrades. Gundlach was also recognized for mentoring other Anytime Fitness franchisees around the country.

Gundlach, 35, is the owner of 18 Anytime Fitness clubs in South Central Wisconsin, including the one in Monroe. He opened his first club in 2006. He employs 145 staff members, including more than 100 certified personal trainers.
