ALBANY - Family Promise of Green County is currently seeking donations for homeless families in the area.
Family Promise of Green County is a community organization formed to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence.
Donations needed include: Diapers newborn to size 5; baby wipes; Pack "N Plays; bed pillows; trash bags; paper towels; copy and printer paper; gas cards; coffee; sugar; dish, hand and laundry soap; document shredder; postage stamps; grocery gift cards; Monroe Cab punch cards; bath towels; all-purpose cleaner; a vacuum cleaner; and a coffee-maker.
Donations can be dropped off from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the Hilltop Community Church, 101 S. Jackson St. in Albany. Donations are being also being accepted at the Town Bank of Albany. Checks can be written to Hilltop Church Family Promise Benefit. To send a check, mail to Town Bank, P.O. Box 69, Albany, WI 53502.
A benefit is being planned from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Albany Village Park and help will be needed. Planning meetings are at 7 p.m. today, July 16, and Aug. 13 at the Hilltop Community Church.
