On April 7:

● At 7:02 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a driver’s license violation, in the W1800 block of State Highway 59, in the Town of Albany. Investigation resulted in the operator, Brian J. Ellis, 52 of Monroe, being cited for Operating After Revocation (due to alcohol) (Traffic Crime). Ellis was released pending court.

On April 8:

● At 10:37 a.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th St. (Probation & Parole), in the City of Monroe, where Bradley J. Rear, 61, was taken into custody for a Probation Violation and incarcerated in the Green County Jail.

● At 12:21 p.m., Deputies responded to the 1100 block of 7th Ave., in the City of Monroe, where Trenity J. Wright, 33, of Monroe, was taken into custody for an active warrant through Department of Corrections. Wright was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail. 

On April 11:

● At 5:13 p.m., Deputies along with New Glarus Police Department, New Glarus Fire Department, and New Glarus EMS responded to the N7700 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of New Glarus for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Noah H. Welhouse, 16 of New Glarus was traveling southbound when he was rear ended by another southbound vehicle operated by Hailey A. Heim, 28 of Monticello. Welhouse reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags deployed. Heim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Heim reported wearing her seatbelt and the airbags had deployed. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Investigation resulted in Heim being cited for Operating Without Insurance, Welhouse was also cited for Inattentive Driving. Heim and Welhouse were released pending court.

On April 12:

● At 11:20 a.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th St. (Probation & Parole), in the City of Monroe, where Aaron E. Melton, 24, of Monroe, was taken into custody for a warrant through Probation and Parole. Melton was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

● At 12:03 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the W2000 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Spring Grove. Investigation resulted in the driver, Victor R. Streich Jr, 53 of Brodhead being cited for Operating After Revocation (due to alcohol)(traffic crime) Streich was released pending court.

On April 13:

● At 1:02 a.m., Deputies, Albany Fire Department, and Albany EMS responded to the N4900 block CTH E, in the Town of Decatur, for a one-vehicle crash with unknown injuries. It was determined that the driver, Adam T. Menehan, 39, of Brodhead, was traveling northbound when he lost control of the vehicle and entered a field to the west of the roadway. The vehicle then overturned and came to a rest. The investigation resulted in Menehan being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence (first offense). Menehan was later released pending court.

On April 14:

● At 2:00 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the W3000 block of STH 11, in the Town of Jefferson.  The investigation resulted in the driver, Coty D. Fisher, 31, of Brodhead, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence. Fisher was additionally cited for Speeding (45+ in 55 MPH Zone) and Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration (greater than .15). Fisher was released pending a future court date.  

● At 9:19 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the W3800 block of STH 11, in the Town of Sylvester.  The investigation resulted in a passenger, Brooke G. Elders, 20, of Ingelside, being cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Elders was later released pending court.  

● At 2:04 p.m., Deputies responded to the W2700 block of STH 92, in the Town of Brooklyn, for a reported single-vehicle crash. The investigation found that the driver, Derrick P. Nipple, 35, of Belleville, had been driving home the night prior traveling west when he fell asleep, entered the south embankment, struck a culvert, went airborne, then later came to a rest back on the roadway.  Nipple advised that he was wearing his seatbelt and sustained apparent minor injuries. Nipple’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with airbag deployment, and was removed from the scene by Nipple. Nipple was later cited for Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Crash to Law Enforcement and Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle. Nipple was released pending court.

● At 10:07 p.m., Deputies, along with Albany EMS and Monticello Fire Department, responded to the W3500 block of Oliver Rd., in the Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a UTV crash with injury.   The investigation found that Donald W. Nieman, 31, of Beloit, was traveling eastbound when he failed to negotiate a turn causing the UTV to overturn. Nieman reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt or helmet and was later transported to the hospital via Med Flight. Nieman’s UTV was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. The crash scene was later turned over to the DNR for further investigation.
