Green County seeks applicants for livestock facility study group

MONROE - The Green County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a moratorium on large-scale livestock operation applications exceeding 1,000-animal units for the next nine months. Green County is seeking four landowning residents to serve on a Livestock Facility Study Group to study the issue of large-scale livestock operations in Green County and to make policy recommendations to the Green County Board. Representation from both large and small farms are being requested.
