Photo supplied by the Green County Historical Society
This photograph shows what the home of Daniel A. Stearns looked like more than 100 years ago. The home, located at 513 East Liberty, still stands today. When the street names changed to the current system in 1929, the address changed to 2115 8th St., Monroe. The Green County Historical Society appreciates receiving or making copies of photographs of the area. If you have any that might be of interest, please contact Matt Figi at 608-325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net. The air-conditioned museum is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. through October. Please stop to visit the "Hodge Podge 2015," which includes four wedding dresses dating from 1883 to the 1940s.
