1. Why are you running? >

It became an easy decision when they went to the more expensive Justice Center with little discussion. They aren't talking about how much money will have to be spent for the present courthouse. They will have to put several million into that building. I'm totally upset about the Justice Center and how they added $4 million to the project. With a sluggish economy, this is foolish. They haven't convinced me this is necessary. If they're going to move the (University of Wisconsin) Extension they should move it downtown.

2. What is the most pressing issue facing the county? What would you do to solve it? >

There are several pressing issues. The general economic condition.

3. Why should people vote for you?>

I'm their neighbor. I'm the person who will listen to what they say. I'll speak up. I won't just go along. I want to be convinced.

4. What is your view of commercial/residential development? >

I'm into Smart Growth. Dairy farming is more important than development but development is beneficial.

5. What is your particular area of expertise or interest that you can bring to county government? >

I have a lot of interest in health care. Aging and disability issues.
