MONROE - At a meeting Thursday, the Green County Board of Supervisors:

• Elected Dallas Cecil to a two-year term as Highway Commissioner.

• Recognized 2009 Governor's Outstanding Adoptive Parent Award to Matt and Cindy Wilcox.

• Passed unanimously Resolution 12-1-09 - 2006 delinquent real estate tax certificates transfer from county treasurer to county clerk.

• Passed unanimously Resolution 12-2-09 - SMG computer contract for 2010 at a cost of $176,364.

• Passed unanimously Resolution 12-3-09 - 2010 Insurance contracts for liability from Wausau Insurance Companies at a cost of $344,407, and for workers comp from Wisconsin County Mutual (Aegis Corp.) at a cost of $186,361.

• Passed unanimously Resolution 12-4-09 - landfill equipment lease/purchase of a JI Case front-end loader, model 521E from 1st Source Mortgage for a total cost of $102,740, with trade, on a five-year contract.

• Passed unanimously Resolution 12-5-09 - authorizing Human Services DOT Grant Application, and authorized the obligation of at least $18,224 to provide required local match.

• Postponed vote on Resolution 12-6-09 enacting Green County investment policy until January 2010.

• Passed unanimously Resolution 12-7-09 - awarding land information software contract to Trancendent Technologies for a cost of $105,000.

• Approved Appointments: Mike Furgal and Mary Larson to Library Board; Kent Anderson to Veterans Service Office; and Richard Thoman to Green County Development Corporation.
