MONROE - The Green County 4-H Shooting Sports program was awarded a grant valued at $12,561 this spring from the NRA Foundation, with the support of the Wisconsin Friends of the NRA.
The majority of the grant was used to purchase equipment that was delivered directly to the program, such as .22 rifles, .22 pistols, air pistols and bows and other supplies like optics, arrows and accessories.
As a result of the grant, there were no program fees for the 189 shooting sports youth participants in Green County this season.
