DARLINGTON - A 42-year-old Gratiot man was arrested Tuesday for posting threatening messages on Facebook, including threats to blow up a Darlington government building.
According to a Darlington Police Department news release, John Hocking was arrested at 9 a.m. on Tuesday for disorderly conduct after Hocking allegedly posted threatening messages on Facebook, indicating a desire to blow up the Lafayette County Human Services, which is located inside the Darlington Municipal building on Wisconsin 23. Hocking also allegedly detailed threats to use weapons against law enforcement.
He remains jailed while the matter is under investigation.
