MONROE - Gov. Scott Walker announced he is seeking applicants for appointment as coroner in Green County, a position that will be vacated by the recently reelected coroner.
Kris Hasse, who ran unopposed in the Nov. 4 election, will effectively resign from the position on Jan. 4, and said she is leaving to focus on her family. Hasse worked in the coroner's office for 18 years and was appointed as county coroner four years ago.
Applicants for the position must reside in Green County and will begin serving on Jan. 6, 2015 for a term of four years.
Interested applicants are asked to submit a cover letter, short resume and an application found under the "apply to serve" tab on Walker's website http://www.walker.wi.gov.
The materials should then be emailed to govappointments@wisconsin.gov.
