MONROE - A Monroe man charged with sexually assaulting two girls over the course of more than a decade is free on bond after he was arrested Tuesday in Verona, where he currently lives, and charged with violating his bond conditions.

Greg P. Gogin, 55, made his initial appearance in Green County Circuit Court on Thursday in the latest case, in which he faces four counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of violating a domestic abuse injunction and violating a restraining order.

Gogin, in handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit, did not speak during the hearing except privately to his attorney Sarah Schmeiser.

Gogin posted $20,000 in cash Friday, court records indicate. His bond has the same conditions as the sexual assault case, plus others. He also must alert the clerk of court when he will be in Monroe for appointments and leave the city immediately afterward.

The new charges stem from Gogin's actions Tuesday, when he reportedly drove by a Monroe residence multiple times. His alleged actions constitute multiple violations of the $50,000 cash and signature bond he signed June 1.

In the original case, Gogin faces charges of first-degree sexual assault of a child, three counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child and three related charges. Prosecutors filed a motion Wednesday to revoke his bond in that case, police records indicate, which the court will take up at a July 13 preliminary hearing.
