DARLINGTON - Darlington attorney Jenna Gill announced Tuesday she is running as a Republican for Lafayette County district attorney.

Gill works as a general practice attorney at Russell Law Offices, S.C. in Darlington. She also serves Lafayette County's corporation counsel.

Gill said she has been involved in complex litigation, trial and cases in front of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and will bring a wide variety of legal experience to the position if elected as the Lafayette County District Attorney.

"My goal in attending law school was and will always be to serve the people of Lafayette County," Gill said in a news release. "I believe that I am the right person to protect the public and community as district attorney. I have always aspired to assist my family, friends, and my hometown community the best that I can. I am proud to have had the opportunity to serve the people of Lafayette County since graduating from law school in private practice."

The daughter of Tom and Kris Reichling, Gill grew up on the family farm in Darlington. She graduated from Darlington High School in 2004 and received her Bachelor Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008 and her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011. She lives in Darlington with her husband, Reid, and their two daughters, Reese and Blythe.

Gill is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and Lafayette County Bar Association. She also serves as a board member of Darlington Daycare.
