BELLEVILLE - The Green County Master Gardeners will be holding its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26 at the Snug Haven Farm, 1170 Hageman Road. Prior to the meeting, there will be a tour on the grounds. The event is open to the public.
Bill Warner and Judy Hageman and family will be the hosts, and will discuss "Growing in a Hoop House and How to get a Jump on the Season." Snug Haven's specialty spinach is grown in hoop houses during the winter months, which makes the spinach extra sweet due to the freezing/thawing process.
The Green County Master Gardeners Association, formed in 2004, meets on the fourth Thursday of the month from February through October. For more information on the University of Wisconsin-Extension Master Gardener program, contact Mark Mayer, agriculture agent at 608-328-9440.
