MONROE - Inclement weather has caused the cancellation of tonight's planned balloon launches and glow events at the Monroe Balloon Rally.
Green County is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. tonight. The National Weather Service also has issued a flash flood warning until 10 p.m. for Brodhead, Monroe and Albany in Green County.
Organizers hoped the storms would pass in time to allow balloon liftoffs to begin as scheduled at 6 a.m. Saturday at the Green County Fairgrounds.
