MADISON - Flags at National Guard armories and other facilities across the state will be flown at half-staff today in honor of a Wisconsin soldier killed at Fort Hood.
Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Amy Krueger, Kiel, died of wounds she sustained Nov. 5 during the shootings at Fort Hood.
Krueger was assigned to the 467th Combat Stress Control Detachment. Her funeral was scheduled for today.
All Wisconsin government facilities are covered by the order issued Friday by Gov. Jim Doyle.Other government agencies, businesses and private residences also may honor Krueger by lowering their flags during daylight hours.
