MONROE - Fehr-Graham & Associates, LLC, announced Friday that it acquired Midwest Safety Services, Inc., a decades-old safety and training consulting firm, Jan. 2.

Midwest Safety operated out of Loves Park, Ill., specializing in OSHA and DOT regulations.

John Vaughan, former owner of Midwest Safety, joined Fehr-Graham as section manager of Health and Safety Compliance on Jan. 5. Vaughan is a Department of Transportation specialist with a background in law enforcement and fire protection.

"This acquisition further enhances Fehr-Graham's capabilities and the Environmental, Health and Safety services currently offered to industrial and municipal clients," Ken Thompson, firm owner and manager of Fehr-Graham's Environmental Sciences Division, said. "Midwest Safety Services has a tremendous amount of experience and vast knowledge with OSHA and DOT regulations, in addition to a great reputation for providing outstanding compliance training."

Thompson said Midwest Safety Services qualifications compliment Fehr-Graham's current programs and will allow it to provide a more comprehensive service package, including abatement of OSHA and DOT fines.
